Respectful of Otters feed

For those of you who signed up for respectfulotter: it's not going to work. Blogger isn't offering an RSS feed anymore - they've changed to a syndication method called Atom. LiveJournal doesn't support Atom feeds, just RSS.

So, alas.

Sure they do, I just changed charles_dodgson to a Blogger atom feed and it works fine.

Just email support@livejournal.com and ask them to change the feed URL.

Huh. Really?

I originally set the feed up as a /atom.xml feed, just a couple weeks ago. It never downloaded to LJ, although it accumulates just fine at the feed site (http://respectfulofotters.blogspot.com/atom.xml)

So I put in a support request, and was told, authoritatively, that LJ doesn't support Atom - that it has to be RSS. I meekly went away, but now I'm doubting myself. Or, more to the point, the LJ support person who told me it wouldn't work.

...Except that it doesn't work. Never has. I don't know.

Maybe it was a recent change. The account I referred to is at

http://thelookingglass.blogspot.com/atom.xml

which is certainly an atom feed.

claims that LJ does support the feeds, though the documentation is not clear.
