Sounds like time for a trip to Canada! I have a lumpy couch you would be more than welcome to sleep on - and no cicadas. An ant or two, but they just crawl around in a fairly predictable fashion. And bunnies. Which do in fact jump and also mate a lot, but are very cute, so who cares, really?
I believe it was grasshoppers that invaded Montreal in 1970. I've had issues with jumping bugs ever since.
