Jesus, what a day.

Two emergency patients before lunch, on top of my regular schedule. One utterly bewildering diagnostic nightmare complete with an unreliable historian. By two o'clock, when I sat down to eat what in retrospect was not nearly enough to replenish me (a Lean Cuisine and a Nutrigrain Bar) I was flinching every time I heard someone out in the hall say my name.

Halfway through my second glass of orange juice, now, I'm starting to lose the shakes.

*Squeal*!!!!!

A nice young UPS man just came to the door. "Uh, I've got a computer for you."

And he did!

Misha and Ben arranged it all. My god, it's beautiful. A Dell Dimension 2100 series with a 1.1GHz Celeron processor, 256MB RAM, 40GB hard drive, CD-RW, and a 17-inch monitor. And it's sleek and black and beautiful and four years younger than my laptop.

*Squeal!* *bounce* *bounce* *bounce*

I'm never going anywhere again. I'm just going to stay home and play with my new computer. O, the joy! I'm so loved...
