LJ, you've helped me with this before... someone writing in Spanish linked to Respectful of Otters from their blog, and appears to have said several things about me, including con la cabeza sobre los hombros y el corazón en el lugar correcto, which I take to mean "has a head that sobers up a guy, and a heart like a well-aimed Luger."

The perils of Google

I just Googled "baby echocardiogram," because Alex's procedure is on Thursday and I am becoming increasingly tense.

I found an excruciatingly well-written set of blog posts by a woman who discovered, at 22 weeks gestation, that her baby had severe abnormalities incompatible with life. She had a late-term abortion. And she wrote about the experience so evocatively that suddenly there I was, crying over total strangers.

Damn you, Internet.
