Six and a half weeks: Symptom roll call.

rivkaMorning sickness: Yesterday evening, in the supermarket, I had the worst episode to date - which was still not too terribly bad. I get queasy and uncomfortable, but it seems to stop there. Curiously, my appetite seems to be unaffected. I nibble on saltines for a while to quell the nausea, and then I'm up for cooking and eating a meal.
For now.
Seriously, though, the morning sickness has not been that bad. Let's hope it stays that way.
Fatigue: I'm not really good for anything past 9:30pm, and I've been falling asleep about two hours earlier than usual. Curiously, though, I'm not sleeping particularly well. I feel like I'm tossing and turning a lot, especially closer to morning, and I don't seem to be able to sleep in. I'm terribly tired in the morning, but also awake.
Breast changes: My nipples are still sore, but not badly sore. My breasts feel swollen and tight, and are noticeably larger. (Noticeable to me, anyway.) Apparently, by the end of the first trimester I can expect to be an entire cup size larger. Yikes!
Frequent urination: It's driving me crazy. I'm generally up twice a night, which doesn't really help with the fatigue.

curiousangel would probably have a word or two to say about crankiness. Also clinginess. It seems to hit me more in the evening, when I'm tired, so I need to be careful not to be bad company at home.
I'm having recurrent thoughts that I'm not really pregnant. That it was all a mistake or an illness or a blighted ovum, and that I'll go to the midwife on Thursday the 26th and be told that there isn't a baby - that there never was. In a weird way, I can understand how a teenager might be in denial about her pregnancy. Even with all these symptoms, the part where there will be a baby at the end seems pretty unreal.
