Ivy update.

rivkaFirst of all: yes, pictures will be forthcoming.
Second: I think we overestimated the cubic footage of ivy. While it is actually taller than we'd estimated - I'd say ten feet - it's not thirty feet long. The ivy at the very back of the yard stayed on the wall.
Third: The Verizon guy says they can't put up a new phone line until we get the ivy out of there. Plus, putting up a new phone line will require access to two neighboring yards, which means a time-consuming process of leaving notes for neighbors and coordinating schedules. And no home phone or DSL until that happens.
Fourth: Our landlords came over to look at the debris. Now they believe us. The new plan for ivy removal involves two or three professionals with chainsaws and a big truck.
Fifth: I am going through serious Internet withdrawal.
