Feme gel pads, or similar sanitary-towel-shaped cool pads, in your knickers. And if you can manage it, a v-shaped cushion. There's no point putting up with anything you don't have to. Alleviate! Alleviate!

I'm told that a few drops of lavender oil on the maternity pad is a great boon, too.
