Last Sunday, in church, I went up to light a candle to mark Alex's first birthday, my first year of motherhood. I searched for words to form a silent prayer, but all I could manage, as the tears rolled down my face, was "I'm so grateful! I'm so grateful!"
Oh, her hair hasn't been c-- yet? I saw that it wasn't in her eyes and assumed. Does she tolerate barrettes well, or was that just for the picture? How about headbands?
Haven't tried headbands. She does tolerate barrettes, and even stands still to have one put in - although if she happens to touch it she will get curious and pull it out.
I'm not sure why I feel so strongly about cutting her hair, because I've taken mine down to 1/4" before. But I do.

But yes, having it pulled back with a barrette does certainly make her look older. Babies' hair isn't styled.
