What then is the difference between the behavior of a therapist and the behavior of a student?
Note also that anecdotes != observations.
"My mom died."
"Oh, that's too bad. You know, my cat died a couple of weeks ago, so I know how you feel."
is different from
"My mom died."
"Oh gosh, that must be hard. You two were very close."
