Veggie Booty snack food has been recalled due to possible salmonella contamination. The recall is for all lots and all expiration dates.

Personally, I think the stuff is awful. (It's puffed corn flavored with powdered spinach and kale.) But Alex and all her friends eat it. It's a very popular choice for crunchy parents of vegetable-rejecting toddlers.

Michael, if you see this, would you print out a copy of the recall notice and take it to Louie when you go pick Alex up? Bolton Hill is so very much the Veggie Booty demographic.

When the kids at work got into playing pirates, burying something in the sand, digging it up, I got the funniest looks when I asked them if that's where they kept their booty.

It's not that I didn't know that they think of booty as a food, I just kept forgetting. :)

The Roberts product that I really like is Tings. Mmmmm, "healthy" Cheetos!

Another good choice for veggie-hating toddlers is Vruit juice. Only trouble is, it's a little pricey, and if you aren't careful, it can stain.

How delightful. I just tried that stuff on a whim for the first time last week; it was bland and chewy-in-a-bad-way. Happily, I am unpoisoned.

It shouldn't be chewy. If it was chewy, it was possibly stale. I like it, myself.
