We are agreed that we will never go in July or August, but I think that October would probably be more pleasant than the end of November.
I'm not sure what the perfect balance of crowds vs. weather would be. There were a lot of people there this weekend for the holiday, but we did sometimes have the opportunity to be by ourselves in a shop or other location for a bit. That probably never happens in the high season.
