Yup, it's a difficult job. I admire your dedication to providing your children with what you feel is right for them--I find it interesting and revealing (and ultimately beneficial for balance in families and work/home lives) that a lot of people are sacrificing career ambitions and full-time income to spend more time with their kids, augment traditional schooling, or homeschool.
As an aside, for future reference, in September the Science Center offers two Homeschool weeks where parents can register one or two (or more) kids for classes normally only available to school groups. This year, they've also been running workshops on different science topics every Wednesday for homeschoolers (officially 3rd-7th grade, but we have a gifted 2nd grader every week).
