Just another note at random. The last death that affected me, I couldn't help but notice that everyone wanted her to die quickly and painlessly... no one else seemed to realize there *was* anything else, that there were choices one could make, that finding peace and happiness might be goals worth achieving.
It wasn't a *rejection* of those goals... those goals were in a blank place, unseen, and unconsidered. All there is, is dying quickly, and painlessly. They need to be made visible.
