What was the last song you heard?

Ani DiFranco, God's Country. I got to the parking lot during the song just prior, but I sat in the car until I'd heard this one too.

What were the last two movies you saw?

In the theater? The Hours and... um. Surely my second most recent film wasn't The Two Towers. Surely I go to the movies more often than that.

What were the last three things you purchased?

Lunch. (Grilled chicken, ham, and cheese sandwich, chips, pickle, and an iced tea, wolfed down in fifteen minutes at the coffee shop closest to the clinic.)
Parking.
Replacement Palm Pilot IIIxe. (I was previously coping with the crack in its face, even though it meant I couldn't see anything in the upper right corner of the screen. But, as cracks in glass tend to do, it spread. Now I can't see 25% of the screen. Thank God there are people selling discontinued Palm Pilots at bargain prices. I'm getting the replacement for $30 less than the repair cost.)

What four things do you need to do this weekend?
1. Dishes.
2. Gym.
3. Date with [livejournal.com profile] wcg.
4. Start work on the sushi sundresses.

Who are the last five people you talked to?
Counting brief exchanges? In reverse order:
1. The security guard at the Health Sciences Library.
2. An infectious disease doctor.
3. The clinic receptionist. (I wanted to borrow some tape.)
4. A research participant.
5. The Institute's HR person, who is handling the paperwork to put [livejournal.com profile] curiousangel on my health insurance.

Sorry about the demise of your PalmPilot, but it's good that you found another for such a reasonable price. The original seems to have served you well.

It really has. (Thanks again!) The people at Palm offered me a 20% discount on a new model if I chose not to repair, but the new models didn't have anything I particularly wanted. For $149, I could have a wireless-capable Palm - if I wanted to pay $20 a month for their wireless ISP. For $199 I could have a color screen. Big deal. Both of those models came with a slot for an expansion card, but I've never used up all the memory I have on this one. I really just wanted to have my old Palm, unbroken, and it is very fortunate that I was able to find one. ($70 at half.com, for anyone who wants to enter the world of handhelds.)
