The last time we moved house was nearly 16 years ago, the kids were quite small, and our refrigerator was covered with snapshots and drawings and notes and magnets that the kids had given us, usually from their elementary school Christmas shop (4 or 5 for $1 - I still have almost all of them :)). We had a special small box in which we packed all that stuff, and the first thing we did once we had the refrigerator in its new spot was restore "the gallery". It really helped make the kids feel like they were in their *home*.
I wish I was more available for helping. Maybe on Thursday? I have a doctor's appt, the time of which I need to check. I'll probably fink out on work that day.
I remember one point during the piecemeal move up here at which most of our belongings had shifted, and the old place looked so tidy and roomy--almost like normal people lived there! Needless to say, an abnormal situation for us.

We don't need to be moving for that to happen. :-)
