Lucky you. I have a panicked cat-the one who never gets upset about anything, and mandatory evacuations a mile and a half away. I'm staying put for the moment though. (I'm near Mt. Vernon.)
Sitting here in Laurel, MD - we seem to be on the line. I have power (thus I'm posting), but people four blocks away from me are without power. We've had several power fluctuations, enough to set off the clocks flashing, but not enough to set the UPS to whooping.
The wind is fairly intense and there are the rainbands.
Having been through hurricanes before (Agnes in 1972 and so on), I'm comfortably set up here. There's food, wine, and reading material. And the resident feline is comfortablly perched.
