Ugh.

Queasy is bad. Ugh. To work or not to work?

Also: it got cold enough last night that our radiators came on. I haven't lived in a house with radiators for years, but I recognized the sound instantly when I got up at 5:30am to pee. It sounded like someone in the street outside pushing a rickety shopping card over an uneven sidewalk. (Of course, these are good radiators. In the house where I grew up, the radiators often sounded like someone hitting metal pipes with a hammer.)

Now we need to learn how to work our fancy programmable thermostat.

I know about the "hitting pipes with a hammer" sound. The old North Texas observatory had the same problem.

I hope the queasiness has passed. *hug*

Our radiators in the Marriage and Family Therapy clinic had the same problem (banging, not queasiness). Many were the PhD quals that included a portion of videotape in which a session was interrupted by "WHANG WHANG WHANG WHANG."

Not to work for me, third day in a row. I will drag myself out of the house later to vote.

*hug* I hope you feel better soon. If not... *makes room on the sickbed for you*

I could say something, but I won't. :-)

Hope the queasy passes.

I could guess, but I won't. Time will tell.

Well, yes. I was trying to be good. :)

Okay, this was just explained to me. And in response, I say: no, no, matters were still under chemical control at that point.

I can't help thinking that you might have gotten the queasy bug from me, though it would have to be an awfully contagious one to be passed via a hug on Sunday night. Anyway, I have the same bug Carol has, but with less-severe symptoms. I hope you feel better soon.

I think that would be too long an incubation period. But I could make you feel guilty anyway.

*chuckle* Good luck with the thermostat. The first winter I lived here I was so intimidated by mine that I just left it set as it was (evidently on some kind of "vacation" setting intended to keep the pipes from freezing while it was on the market) and hit the "override" button when I got cold.

I figured it out the following summer, but I still have to stop and really *focus* on it when the seasons change.

Which reminds me (*scribbling on PostIt note*): "Buy weatherstripping."

you might want to bleed the air out of the radiators.

we just reattached our bathroom radiator, refilled it, and bled the air out of the rest of ours on sunday night. oh, the excitement.

Dunno if you've got the sort of queasy that eases as the day goes on.

Hope it gets better soon!
