I am vaguely amused that [livejournal.com profile] elisem and [livejournal.com profile] jonsinger produce the same result. Either that or I'm confused.

I hope they're good buttons.

I am sure that any button from Elise would be wonderful. Jon Singer I don't know, but (and here's where the vague amusement came from) I think he and Elise are friends, so I suspect his button would also be interesting or otherwise nifty.

buttons? cool!

Jon Singer's button would be twice as nifty as mine, I bet. And he'd tell you who made it, what the chemical composition of the materials were and who mined or otherwise gathered them, what system of symbolism the artist was working in, if any, and the complete cultural and economic history of the region. Plus what they eat. Of which he would offer samples that he just happened to be carrying.

Mine would probably be neat to look at and touch, and possibly have other properties.

I think this depends on the type of button that Jon Singer was giving her. It might be a "start" button for one of his experiments in gas burners for kilns. In which case it would likely be quite entertaining.

But, in either case, the clear conclusion is that a large part of the interestingness of the button would be because it came with him with it.
