This was supposed to be my first day actually seeing patients in PG County.
I'm not there.
I felt a little under the weather yesterday, but not so much that I didn't want to go to English Country Dance. This morning when I woke up, I felt a bit ill as well. That's actually fairly common for me - I have a glitch in my anatomy which causes me to get nauseated on a fairly regular basis if my stomach is empty. Usually nibbling a few crackers takes care of it. So I had some crackers and a cup of tea, got dressed in my work clothes, and was rushing around trying to find my book so I'd have something to read on the train.
And then, suddenly, I was on my knees in the bathroom getting rid of the crackers, the tea, and ultimately everything I had ever eaten in my life.
It's a measure of how much I want this PG county job that my first thought was "Okay, now that I've thrown up I'll probably be okay to go to work." Sanity quickly reasserted itself, especially when I started feeling nauseated again about five minutes later. Just now it took me twenty minutes to muster the energy to get off the couch and pour myself a little warm Sprite, so I'm thinking I made the right decision.
Bleah. I hate being sick.

Date: 2001-10-10 05:07 pm (UTC)i really hope it is good, because the pizza hut that delivers here was so bad, and dominoes is evil for some reason i forget, and the other place nearby uses canned horrible things, and the other place nearby has horrible rectangular things that they wrongfully name "pizza".
