On the other hand, I don't feel as attached to decision-making details as I used to be, so my list of "critical" would be pretty small, and my need for participation would be satisfied by

"this is our proposed policy/schedule/menu; have we missed anything you feel strongly about?"

I don't read alt.poly anymore, but would dearly love to come hang out at APC12. :D

I'd also check, were it there, "No, because I'm a little frustrated that this is yet another thing I don't get to do, so I'd rather not hear about it lots in advance." Opt-in would cover that one, though.

Well, considering I have about $50 to my name at the moment, I'd call it unlikely.

I want to know everything about everything all the time. Ask me again after I'm dealing with a newborn baby 28 hours a day.

I might also suggest you mihgt consider creating a "rant about alt.polycon 12 planning process" filter.

I wonder what percentage of all LJ polls include the option "Oooh, clicky thing!"

Thanks to the miracle of FreeFind (http://search.freefind.com/find.html?id=28600377), I've managed to dig up my "revolutionary" (http://deyo.livejournal.com/63540.html) checkbox poll. ;)

Post it in its own journal entry, with a lj-cut, then someone can read if they're in the mood, or not.

I'd love to have you post about it because I only make it to alt.poly about once a week these days (and always lurking, never posting).

As things get busy, I tend to pull back from Usenet, leaving a.p as my primary home-on-the-'Net, so I'd be happy if you posted here.

Mailing lists have become problematic - my ISP's spam filters are snagging a lot of them, and if I forget to look at the spam-trapped folder, they can get deleted before I see them.

Use lj-cuts if you want to. I figure people read your LJ because they want to know what you have to say. Granted, I haven't determined exactly what the split is between your LJ and your Respectful of Otters blog is; is ..Otters for the political stuff, and LJ for everything else? Then apc would cound as an everything else, wouldn't it?

I find the scroll bars and next/previous buttons work very handily.

Do as you will.
