It's been a very not-much sort of weekend, here. Friday night I fell asleep on the couch in front of a TiVOed preseason baseball game, and eventually staggered up to bed around 11:30. Saturday morning I woke up at 9, when
curiousangel's alarm went off - still tired. He went off to help
geekchick move, and I settled in to enjoy having the house to myself for the day. Around 2pm, I lay down on the couch to read and instantly fell asleep. Until six, when I woke up, still exhausted.
I felt a social obligation to go to the church auction, so we did. We placed low bids on a bunch of things in the silent auction, and racked up to a ridiculous extent. I mean, I don't see how they raised any money with this auction, because we got: two passes to a local winery's wine-tasting-and-music festival, for $7; four tickets to concerts of our choice at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, for $12; and a funky, baroque, milk glass punch bowl with eighteen cups, for $23. We also splurged in the live auction and bid a bit too much money on lunch with two Unitarian-Universalist state representatives, which includes being their guests at a legislative session. It was fun.
Then I - yes - went to sleep again. And slept for more than nine hours. And I'm tired now. It's all very strange. I don't feel sick, I just feel like I could sleep for the rest of my life and I'd still just be beginning to catch up.
