No kidding. It's been a looong sixteen months for us, and I know that lots of our friends are in similar situations. Still, I've noticed people getting hired recently. Let's hope it's a real turnaround.
...But I'm still not signing on to the Bush economic plan.

I hear you. Things still suck lots of places. My in-laws in Cleveland tell us almost every week about another plant closure.

I've written about the interview here, but the actual job is going to be working with the team putting together an online magazine for the National Federation of the Blind. I think it's going to be fun!

My first cousin (once removed) is a manager for KBR. If I wanted it badly enough, I could call Roy and get on some sort of job... but I hate presuming on family ties, and I've only met Roy four times, anyway.
I do trust him to be ethical in his dealings... but I know he's not anywhere near running things there, either.
