Very little happened today, which makes it a refreshing change from yesterday. I taught a well-received workshop on improving sleep quality. We had fondue for dinner. Now Maria and I are hanging out on the computers and listening to Spanish pop music, while [livejournal.com profile] curiousangel lies in bed reading Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver. He was home sick today, but is obviously planning to survive or he wouldn't be starting such a monumental project.

My boss copied me on e-mails in which she metaphorically lies down in front of my office door to prevent them from moving other people in. Let's hope it works.

Good for her! (Both for standing up for you, and for making sure you know she's doing it.) And good luck to you!

Huzzah for a Day of Very Little Happening, gawd knows you deserved it.

Your boss is a pearl without price and overcrowded persons everywhere lie down with her in solidarity. Or something.

We had a day of getting more of the damn boxes unpacked, with a small side order of look what else got smashed by the evil packer. [livejournal.com profile] grillghod now completely understands my 'three broken things and I quit for the day' rule. Nothing major, but jeez it wears on you.

I am going to soothe my soul with a game or three of Haxic and some Cadbury Royal Dark.

Cheese fondue, or meat/fish fondue?

My guess is that you didn't serve chocolate fondue for dinner.

I am wanting more and more to stew a rabbit today.

Meat/fish/vegetables, in chicken broth, with peanut, dijon horseradish, and white wine-butter sauces for dipping. It was good.

Stewed rabbit sounds like a great idea. You're certainly in the place for it.

There's fresh rabbit in every grocery store I've been to.
