Today, [livejournal.com profile] curiousangel and I killed a living being as part of a pagan ritual whose origins and significance are shrouded in mystery.

You killed your own? Most city-dwellers seem to pay someone else to perform the ritual sacrifice.

Hee! I guessed right!

Lovely tree.

We just returned from our own forest hilltop ritual, likewise... ;)

Nice tree! Did you remember to examine the internal organs for signs and portents?

Well, at the very least I can assure you that the internal organs smell fabulously pine-y.

Nice sacrifice you have there. Very festive and tasteful.

Doing a bit of long-distance organ scrying on your sacrifice, I foresee a marvelous winter holiday of your choice with much speculation among your family and friends of how NEXT winter holiday will be even more marvelous for you and your family.

They are correct, but completely understimating just how wonderful and marvelous it will be.

I don't know about the internal organs, but the limbs of our being are awfully sticky this year. I wonder what that portends?

I am a firm believer in the splinter sect which uses a replica of the once-living beast rather than a corpse.
