Dec. 12th, 2004 06:09 pmYesterday morning, when
curiousangel and I woke up, we had done no Christmas shopping whatsoever.
We now have presents for my mother, two of my three sisters, my brother and sister-in-law, our nieces and nephews, and the two children in
curiousangel's stepfamily. (I am too tired to figure out how those children are related to us.) We also have a roll of red satin ribbon, which I'm going to use to display the Christmas cards we've received over the last few years. (My favorite cheap and easy Christmas decorating idea. When I was a kid we taped them up around all the interior doorways. Last year we displayed them all on the mantel.)
We have been in major accomplishment mode this weekend. Go, us.
We have yet to find: presents for
curiousangel,
wcg, my father, my younger sister, and
curiousangel's father, stepmother, and birthmother.
I'm still not used to how quickly I get tired. Even feeding myself regularly and taking frequent rests, I wore myself out on both shopping trips, yesterday and today.
I'm still not used to how big I am. I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirrored display at the mall, and it made me laugh.
Now I am resting, exhausted, and Li'l Critter is going kick, kick, kick, kick, kick. It doesn't hurt, but it definitely gets my attention. Somehow it also seems to add to the tiredness.
Unfortunately, some folks from church are coming over in 45 minutes to work on a project. In a few minutes I should go down and help
curiousangel pick up the living room. But all I really want to do tonight is rest with my feet up.
