Nov. 17th, 2001 01:45 pmThings to do this afternoon:
1. Unload dishwasher, re-load it with last night's dinner dishes, clean the stove and kitchen counter.
2. Laundry.
3. Order new jeans from Land's End and a pair of dress shoes with room for my orthotics from All About Feet.
4. Grocery shopping. I hope they'll have the little two-pound leg of lamb roasts they had a couple of weeks ago, and more fresh cranberry-apple cider. This time I won't forget to buy seltzer.
5. Pick up donatable canned goods at the store, because the dance we're going to tonight is taking a collection.
6. Do a bit of work-type work, if there's time.
I'm feeling strangely light-hearted today. It might have something to do with sleeping until 11 - I've been generally run-down and tired lately. But I've also had a lot of things hanging over my head (some related to my upcoming trip to Iowa City, about which more later) that have made me anxious and sad, and today those troubles seem to have lifted temporarily. It's nice.
Let's see how much I can get accomplished if I throw myself into domestic dervish mode. It always lifts my mood to be able to point to a lot of tangible accomplishments.
(Sidenote: I made my first special-friends-subgroup-only post last night. If you didn't see it and think you should have, let me know.)
