Alex slept well last night and this morning, in nice long three-and-a-half-hour bursts. Which meant that she didn't eat much over that time period. Which meant that, all day today, she wanted to nurse every hour and fifteen minutes. I never got the chance to put her down for more than ten minutes.

Blessedly, curiousangel is currently taking a turn with the baby so that I can have a few moments of peace without anyone hanging off my nipples. In a few minutes, though, I'll have to go downstairs and pump so we'll have supplemental milk for the night.

She's still the cutest thing ever. Just look at this picture.

She has some seriously-alert moments, and she also has a surprising range of moods and expressions. She's got one expression that we call "her dubious face", because she's looking at us with an expression that says, "I don't think that's gonna work, but y'all are controlling the milk supply, so I guess we'll try it your way".

Really expressive for less than three weeks old. :)
