Alex just pulled herself up to stand for the very first time.

She supported herself with my jeans. Which were down around my knees, because I was sitting on the toilet at the time.

I don't think we're going to be documenting that one with a picture in the baby book.

And yes, someday you will be able to use the bathroom all by yourself. And so will Alex. And you will dimly remember the days when peeing in glorious solitude seemed like the norm instead of an unattainable luxury.

(Though once I had the opportunity to use the loo in a restaurant alone, and I almost stayed in the cubicle. I seriously considered never coming out. It was so *quiet*!)
