Well, which would you rather do, she asked unrepentantly, read about sexual dysfunction among persons with HIV, or start your Christmas shopping online?

I'll take the getting-hit-on-the-head lessons, please.

Tabbed browsing: For all your multi-tasking needs!

(My choice today is between laboriously checking Every. Page. In. Our. Web. Site. for errors/update needs/obsolescence, and shopping for yarn with the birthday money my generous brother sent me...)

I'd make the same choice. Although reading about sexual dysfunction among persons with HIV may not be everyone else's cuppa tea.

It would probably depend on whether I was meant to be writing an article on said topic, or on something else altogether. Because it sounds like a great timewaster, but only if I wasn't actually meant to be working on it.

[If this posts twice, I apologize. Grr LJ.]

I'm supposed to be writing a helpful and stigma-reducing flyer for patients which will make them feel okay about the fact that their doctor wants them to receive HIV-prevention services before he or she will prescribe Viagra. (Fear of erectile dysfunction is a major cause of unprotected sex among HIV+ men.)

It's also a major worry to men needing antidepressants. Having a libido is a key to many mens self worth, taking that away doesn't work IMO.

Fun! In that case I would totally be doing my Christmas shopping, and I sympathize.

Right now, for instance, I am on LJ instead of writing about treatments for epilepsy.

I dunno...

is this on paid company time?

If it is, it's a no-brainer. You need to work.

If it is not, (and you know you can finish all your research and work to the best of your ability on your designated paid company time)...SHOP ON!

Everyone needs downtime. :)

I'd probably rather the former. I did, however, finish my Christmas shopping online weeks ago. :)

Either, as long as I don't have to go to the mall.
