Milestones that aren't much fun.

Baby's first fever.

101.2 F, so nothing terribly dramatic or dangerous. But, poor thing, she just doesn't feel right. Ever since I came home from work, she's been subdued and sad. She plays for a moment, and then crawls over, pulls up on my shirt, and wraps her arms miserably around me.

Poor little plum.

Sarah still speaks of Baby Alex frequently. Just today, when she was talking about being sixteen and driving the car, she said, "I'm going to be sixteen before Baby Alex."

So, hi to Alex from Sarah, and just remember not to let her be sixteen first, or Sarah will be so disappointed.

Snuggling is the best medicine. When Squeaky gets sick and I take off work, she and I just snuggle and nap together all day. I figure it helps us both feel better.

She's asleep in the sling right now, poor little dear, and we napped together this morning too. I have also lifted our ban on children's television.
