I'm trying not to, because I've found that (at least with US elections) that's a good way to wind up short on sleep, and quite possibly go to bed at 2 or 3 a.m. still not knowing.
If CBC is giving you trouble, you can go here (http://cac28.insinc.com/cponline/election2006/elxn_eng.html). No analysis, but the results are there. Plus, it's kind of cute.
It's just depressing that the AUPE had to urge people to do strategic voting, instead of just voting for the best candidate and letting IRV take care of the rest.
No, what's depressing is the fact that our electoral system forces people to vote strategically in the first place. And that it distorts the vote to the point where an beautiful and extremely colourful city-wide result ends up looking nothing but Tory blue.
FIX THE SYSTEM NOW! (http://idealisticpragmatist.blogspot.com/2005/11/proportional-representation-faq.html)
We're actually in agreement here; that's what I meant about letting I.R.V. take care of the rest. It's no panacea, but it's a step towards proportional representation (which latter I do believe in strongly; see my homepage).
