Still in the process of outfitting my new PC. Michael hopes to get my old hard drive moved over tomorrow, but in the meantime I've managed to reinstall most of my software, including my photo editor.

More pictures to come, including SUUSI and answers to the photo meme, but in the meantime, here are three new pictures of Alex:

How absolutely sweet!

She's SO CUTE. And that first picture is totally photo contest worthy.

I took the picture of her running through the bike rack while we were at SUUSI. She had discovered an unused rack and realized that it was just the right height, and I had left the camera over across the field in the diaper bag. I took her back to the bike rack the next day with the camera in my hand, determined to get a shot like that one. I'm pretty damn proud of it, especially since I'm such a neophyte photographer.

...And I put her in the striped outfit that day, having no idea that it would work so well with the picture Michael intended to take. That was a nice coincidence.

Oh my God, she's HUGE. Look at that skinny body, those long arms and legs. She's not a baby any more, she's a person. When did that happen?

Somewhere around 13 months I realized that she had left babyhood behind. It's more and more true every day: she doesn't drink from bottles now, doesn't want to be rocked to sleep, holds her own spoon and cup at meals.

The skinniness worries me a bit. She's dropped from 60th percentile to 25th for weight, and if you look at the bottom picture, you can actually see her ribs. Michael and I were both stick-thin kids, but I'm still going to ask her doctor for some hand-holding on that front, when we go in for her checkup next week.

Baz does the same thing -- his ribs show, and his hips stick out, and it's all very unnerving. But then he bulks up again and shoots up another inch. I just wish he wouldn't combine it with eating like a bird.

Xander's ribs are showing now, too. More than hers, even. Grow like caterpillars -- shoot up, bulk out, shoot up, bulk out....

Agent Weasel's like that sometimes. Then she'll end up with a little stomach, eat like a horse for a few days, shoot up an inch in height and go back to normal.

Now that I have a home computer, and my RA is back from vacation, it should be soon! I miss my blog too.

What a lovely and delightful girl! It's astonishing how fast they leave baby phase, isn't it?
