Well, hey, I used to be married to her. And the Farthing party will surely be fun. And I like meeting LJ friends. But it's the other side of the Atlantic, and Jo was here only a couple of weeks ago. But have fun!

Checkboxes for people who don't really have anything to say regarding any of the poll questions, but who just like to check checkboxes (make "tick" marks, pre-electronica).

I clicked both options :-) because, ticky!

(and content-free radio button selections are sometimes referred to as "clickies" and the act of selecting one, "clicky!")

... also because, yes, they're so 2005, but also they make me smile anyway.

None of the choices in the second question exactly matched my answer, which would be "I am fully in support of whatever you decide to do, whether that's with Alex along or not, and while I look forward to meeting her some day, I am strongly of the opinion that whatever makes you feel best is what I'm in favor of, and furthermore the notion of my being disappointed would strike me as being a little presumptuous on my part."

Wordy beast I am, yeah.

Anyhow, yeah. You should completely do what is good for you guys, and I will help around the edges as I can, if I can.

What she said. (I did answer "would kind of like to meet her" as the nearest equivalent, but it really does come down to what works for you.)

Also this assumes I can go, but I sure want to.

Would love to see her again!

But not sure if I'll have the $$ for the trip. If yes, then YES! would be happy to babysit. Will have sprog along, if I come.

Have you looked at the Amtrak option?

I do hope you can come, it's ages since I saw you and I haven't seen Alexander Jasper at all.

I *really* want to see you at the party. You=Rivka, who I met and talked to before. Who can write. If it works out that you can bring Alex, that would be cool -- she seems like someone I'd very much like to meet. If it works better for Alex to be elsewhere that weekend, that would be cool too.

Something else = You had a weekend, longer than a weekend, with just Alex, while Michael was away recently, maybe you're entitled to a weekend without her if you want one? But that's "if you want one". I really want you to come, and I'd be happy to see her too. While I don't think I can commit to actual babysitting during the thing, I can probably draft Zorinth, who is pretty good with toddlers. I might be able to draft other people too.

I just got email from a very nice person you don't know who is looking for a roomshare. I'll sound her out about her position on toddlers if you like, though I see you have a couple of volunteers already, so that probably isn't necessary.

I totally am entitled to a weekend without her! I am trying to decide whether I want one. Part of what's swaying me is that my best friend from grad school lives in Montreal, and I know that he and his family would really love to see Alex. But being at a con as a temporarily single mother would be hard, even if I got a room within baby monitor range of the consuite.

Still thinking.

I can't afford to go, but I've met Alex and would like to see her again. As everybody knows, I'm not competent to babysit, but can handle meals.
