Scene: It's storytime in the living room, right before bed. We are reading Touch and Feel Baseball, and we've just gotten to the part about "Rub the scratchy turf of the outfield."

Me: And you can tell by the N-Y on the field that this is Yankee Stadium. What do we know about the Yankees, Alex?
Alex: Bad!!

...I am SO proud.

Yes, exactly. I'd be a little surprised if Alex doesn't grow up to be an Orioles fan, given our location, but it doesn't really matter who she roots for as long as she hates the Yanks.

My wife, who is an O's fan by birth, completely approves of teaching Alex the importance of these things.
