Checking in.
Jan. 6th, 2007 09:32 pmI am holding steady. Still coughing like crazy, and almost ridiculously weak, but the steroids and albuterol are doing their job - my breathing hasn't gotten any worse and I think has even eased up a little.

Date: 2007-01-07 02:55 am (UTC)I'm doing well with the hydration and hot drinks - plenty of hot tea today and some chicken broth. A couple of extra pillows are a good idea.
Steroids = "edgy?" Is that why I woke up every hour last night? I'm on a tapered pack (6 pills the first day, 5 the second, etc.) and the instructions said to take all 6 pills the first day even if I didn't get them until the evening. So I took all six between 6pm and bedtime, and yeah. Not much sleep, even with a sedating cough syrup.
I'm having a weird feeling, for about 45 minutes after I medicate with steroids + inhaler, where I just feel kind of trembly. Like I have jellylegs. I sort of remember this from the nebulizer treatments I did a few years ago. That's where a big part of the "ridiculously weak" thing comes in... apart from the more understandable stuff like not being able to breathe well enough to pick up Alex or climb more than half a flight of stairs at a time.
Thanks for the advice. I'll take any I can get at this point.
