SUUSI!
I just registered us for this year's SUUSI. Their online system is probably the most user-friendly registration setup I've ever seen. We still have to mail in a big packet of waivers and permissions, but at least we've all made it into the queue for our various trips and workshops.
My father is going again this year. He and I are taking a workshop and a hike together. And![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
bosssio is going as well - yay, we didn't totally scare her off last year! We're going to be suitemates again. I'm crossing my fingers hoping that Dorian (our friend and Alex's ex-nanny) and her mother will decide to go too. I think they'd have a wonderful time, and it would be great to have extra time to hang out with Dorian.
We've got a pretty heavy schedule this year. I hope we don't regret it. I don't see anything that I'd want to cut out, but there's not quite as much relaxation time as we planned for last year.

Check-in.
Banner parade and ingathering, 7-9pm.
Monday
Michael: How does GPS work? 8:30-12pm.
Alex: Children's programming, 9-12pm.
Michael: Coffee workshop, 2-4pm.
Alex: Children's programming, 2-4pm.
Rivka: Science, religion, and the universe workshop (with my father), 2-4pm.
Rivka: "Brews for UUs" beer tasting, 8-11pm.
Tuesday
Michael: Flatwater kayaking, 8:15-12:30pm.
Alex: Children's programming, 9-12pm.
Rivka: Chocolate 101, 10-12pm.
Rivka: Falls of the Little River hike, 1:30-5:45pm.
Michael: Poker tournament, 2-6pm.
Alex: Children's programming, 2-4pm, followed by hanging out with Grandpa until Papa gets busted out of the poker tournament or Mama comes home from her hike, whichever comes first.
Wednesday
Rivka: Bald Knob/Bear Cliffs hike (with my father), 7:30-12:30pm.
Michael: Geocaching, 8:30-12pm.
Alex: Children's programming, 8:30-12pm.
Rivka: Science, religion, and the universe workshop (with my father), 2-4pm.
Thursday
Michael: Chateau Morrisette winery trip, 10-5:30pm.
Rivka and Alex: Gatewood Park & Reservoir trip (short hike, picnic, lake swimming), 10-4pm.
Friday
Alex: Option to go to children's programming if she wants, 9-12pm.
Rivka and Alex: Poverty Creek hike/splash, 2-6pm.
Rivka and Michael: Teen Way Off Broadway (audience at the late show), 9pm.
Saturday
Closing circle, 9am.
Not included in the above schedule are the various all-SUUSI activities:
- Theme talks (extended sermons/lectures), every morning from 9-9:45am.
- Worship, Monday-Thursday from 7-7:45pm, Friday from 8:30-9:15pm.
- Community time (outdoor carnival/street fair/playtime) every day from 4:30-6.
- Concert hour (professional folk musicians), Monday-Thursday from 8-9pm.
- Cabaret (professional and talented amateur music), every night from 9:30-midnight.
- Serendipity dance club, every night from 10pm-1am.
