Okay: I know that it must have been a robot that did it. I'm sure that the person responsible never saw my post and probably couldn't have read it if they did.

But somehow it still really bothers me to find Cyrillic comment spam on one of my agonized posts about miscarrying.

I find robotic Russian comment spam most often on my post about my friend Q's cancer. No one sees them but me; I go in and delete them. It doesn't rip my heart out any more.

It's still painful.

I've been getting very intermittent, English-language comment spam on my more popular LJ entries--I'm pretty sure judged by linking not number of comments, but you might be in for more regardless.

I have the option set that screens anonymous comments. I delete all the spam, and I'm the only one who ever sees it. Two or three of my posts have enough comments on them to trigger the dullbot that looks for places to lay its cracked eggs.
