Because I reallythe Niblet really, really wants one.

Edited to add: ZOMG there's a secret candy machine hidden in the basement. I didn't even know we had basement access. Snickers Snickers Snickers!!!

And edited again: Niblet is kick-kick-kicking with joy. I knew he wanted that candy bar.

When I was knocked up with Molly, I worked in an office that was about 25 feet from a gas station. That had a full selection of junk food. Including donuts.

Molly wanted a donut pretty much every afternoon.

I think the Niblet would settle for a glazed chocolate donut. But there's something about the sweet/salty/creamy combination of a Snickers bar that just cries out to me.

Okay. I know our building doesn't have a candy machine, but it's time to check out the building next door.

I've read that fetuses can, basically, smell the foods that their mothers eat. Because of that, they gain a taste for the sorts of things that their mothers eat when they are in the womb. The more interesting things you eat, the more interesting things your kids will eat!

Except, of course, when they don't. 'Cause, well, humans are weird that way.
