Yep. Judging from the angle of delivery, it looks like a self-administered C-section. You've got to admire Mary's grit.
It's funny to hear Joseph lecturing her on how to hold the baby. They're both very young, but she's an only child and he has a baby brother, so he knows all about things like supporting the baby's head. She has a tendency to hold Jesus at arm's length in front of her.
But wow, isn't she a lovely little girl? With her headpiece on, she looks (http://picasaweb.google.com/uurebaltimore/08PageantRehearsal?feat=directlink#5282870984646197122) like she came out of a Renaissance painting.
Alex, yes, is Alex. Isn't she a beautiful dove? I asked her what she thought of the play last night, and she told me she wished the doves sang more and spent less time in their nest. (The doves are cordoned off in what I presented as "your secret hiding place, your nest," also known as the ministers' robing room, for the majority of the pageant, to keep them under control.) I promised that when she's older she can be onstage more and have more lines to say.
Those photos made my day :). And Alex is just stunning. And by that I mean she's... well, *Alex*. I've only met her in photos, but her self just glows.

My favorite, however, has to be the photo labeled "Mary delivers." Whoops, here comes Baby Jesus!
