I'm re-saying this here in case you don't see it amongst all the comments on the other thread:
I read your LJ because I am a relatively new mom looking to learn, and I really like the choices you make and the way you approach mothering, including your fears and difficulties with it.
Yep. Me too. Your insights are always helpful. I've always appreciated that you took the time to write about being a mom and how you raise your kids. You give me good ideas.
Oh, and I bought the books you recommended. Thanks!
These last couple of weeks (pretty much since my gallbladder started acting up), I've been extra aware of just how blessed and surrounded I am by wonderful, caring, supportive friends, family, and neighbors. And while there are plenty of parts of my life where I'm doing significantly less well than I would like, having such people so firmly woven into my everyday existence tells me loud and clear that I'm doing *something* right, something incredibly well even.
You are, too. I look forward to the time when the postpartum chemicals finally dissipate and you're able to see and hear that as clearly as the rest of us do.
I missed your previous post until now--catching up on LJ from the last week. I noticed that you'd been posting less frequently, but thought it was more that you were busy. It seems like you relieve stress/anxiety/negativity through some of your posting on LJ, so, if you feel able, hopefully you'll write more about what's going on in your journal. I, for one, know that I'm not always best at expressing my support, but I just wanted to say that you're a great parent.
