Are you kidding me? It's a universal among baseball fans.
(By definition, there is no such thing as a Yankee "fan." That would be like saying the schoolyard bully has "fans." There are only Yankee supporters, just like the schoolyard bully has people who go along with them, in varying degrees of enthusiasm.)
If you're a baseball fan, you hate the Yankees. It's axiomatic.
We know the commissioner has paid no attention to the idea of "for the good of the game" for decades because the Yankees still exist, and haven't been broken up like AT&T in the 1980's.
One cool thing: The Yankees have lost the World Series a record 13 times. That means one could compile a list of, "The Ten Best World Series In History!!!" and in every single one, the Yankees would lose.
Actually, that sounds fairly accurate.
In our 21st Century, where the Yankees have yet to win a World Series, the question on every baseball fan's lips is, "How will the Yankees manage to choke this year?"
