rivkaI need some digital images that I can use in presentations about my research. We have a medical graphics department that could probably do them for me, but if possible I'd rather hire someone from my friends list.
Here's what I need:
Two illustrations. I'm looking for a cartoon/diagram style - something that, although attractive, would not be out of place stylistically in the same presentation as a bunch of bar graphs.
Image 1: A balance scale showing blocks of two high-contrast colors being weighed against each other. Out of balance, e.g., one side has more blocks and weighs more.
Image 2: This is the tricky one, the reason why I can't just use clip art. I want a stack of blocks (same two high-contrast colors) on one side of the image, a lens in the middle, and then a distorted projection of the blocks (like a funhouse mirror image) on the other side. So something like these ray diagrams for lenses, only coming through distorted. The blocks are all the same size on the one side, and wildly out of proportion on the other.
