Bill came over tonight to finish my dress. All that's left is to add a little bit of lace around the neckline, which I'll do myself. It turned out...


I am amazed. I am speechless and awestruck, except that I'm also bouncing off the walls and twittering about how pretty I feel and twisting around to admire myself in the mirror from all angles. I had no idea I could look like this. None.

And it's comfortable. It's a linen blend, so it will be cool enough even in a crowded ballroom. It allows for easy movement. I need help putting it on and off, but that's what partners are for.

Bill can do the most marvelous things.

Well... since I was about to post a somewhat smug "HAH! *I* knew you were this beautiful, and more, all along", I decided not to post anything at all. except this explanation of why I'm not posting a response, of course.

(Well, maybe I *AM* a bit smug at thinking about how beautiful you are... but I'm not ashamed of it. :-) )
