Three years ago.

Three years ago today, curiousangel and I were married.

At this precise moment three years ago, we were driving together from our apartment to the chapel. He was already wearing his morning suit, and I had the obligatory long white dress on a hanger. We'd woken up together and showered together, having no interest in observing the taboo against seeing each other before the wedding. Soon - at precisely 12:01pm, Central Time - we'd be walking down the aisle, surrounded by sixty-odd of our closest friends and relatives. Soon we would be standing before saoba, promising to love, comfort, honor, and keep each other until death did us part. Soon we'd be walking back up the aisle, hand in hand, to the triumphant music of Bach's Cantata #137. And then stopping just outside the chapel door, wrapping our arms around each other in a moment of joy so breathless, so achingly profound, that we needed to lean into each other for support.

Three years later, I can still call that feeling back - and my love for him still makes me weak in the knees. Our marriage has brought me joy and comfort and heart's-ease and laughter and a true partnership that I never could have imagined.
