That was the coolest present ever! He has a cigar and everything! I just wish I had a B.F. Skinner action figure alongside him, complete with a tiny little operant chamber. Alas.

I rarely remember my dreams. However, I've had a couple of very vivid ones about you. General themes: trust, lust, timeless connection. I wake from these dreams feeling an urgent need to share them with you, but then reconsider while drafting the email, thinking you'll interpret it as some kind of request for a heavier-than-intended emotionally taxing commitment.

Incidentally, I think we met in the D-lab or perhaps the library lobby, when Shawn was organizing a trip to the movies and that restaurant whose name I can't remember, on 10th and Burnside. With the Hungarian mushroom soup. Because just about the first thing I remember seeing you do was leap out of Shawn's car to intervene in a potential domestic violence situation.

My first memory of talking with you, now neatly filed under "Most Embarrassing Moments", is of awkwardly intercepting you on the way to the mail room. I mentioned that I had once had a long-sleeve green knit J-Crew top much like the one you were wearing. I said that I had really liked it, but sadly it had disappeared from my laundry one day.
