Yes, the Gingerbread House Construction Project happened, and it was a fascinating event. :) I now have three little houses in my kitchen - one very pretty one with jellybean lights and a marshmallow koi pond, one rather traditional one that my neighbor's kids helped decorate, and one fascinating exercise involving black Gothic Gummy Bears laying seige to the Peachy Gummi Penguins, complete with lightsabers and bloody corpses.

Did you know that you can make a reasonable facsimile of Cthulhu with marshmallows, food coloring, and licorice whips?
