We're going to an English Country Dance. They hold the New Year's dance in a beautiful 18th-century mill, and there's live music and a dessert buffet and champagne at midnight.
At our balls, people try to dress in period clothes or reasonable approximations thereof, but a lot of folks wear evening clothes on New Year's Eve. curiousangel and wcg will be wearing tuxedoes.
