rivkaWe got the house! The one we really wanted, the one on Park[1]. I called and left a gushing message last night ("We're so excited about the house! We really love it! I just wanted to let you know to expect our rental application first thing in the morning!"), and that seems to have done the trick. When I spoke to one of the landlords this morning she said, "We love our house, and we wanted to give it to someone who we knew would really appreciate it - so we were so excited to get your message last night."
So we'll be moving in the second half of June. Yaay! Everyone has to come visit us.

It'd certainly be to my taste as well, were I to live in Baltimore (not that I'm ever likely to, because L does not want to live close by her family). I'm just apt to take you up on the invite, if ever I can manage to find a permanent job again where I can travel with the rest of the family when they're going back on one of L's infrequent trips home. (I have a feeling the next one may happen whenever her grandmother, who's now 91, finally dies.)
