Aaaand a bonus Alex bon mot.
Apr. 24th, 2007 12:04 amMy mother gave Alex some wooden fruits and vegetables for her birthday. They're held together with Velcro, and they came with a wooden knife that can be used to "cut" them into pieces. The wooden knife has quickly become a prize possession.
At dinner tonight, Alex remarked, "My knife is made of wood." Then she reached out with one finger and touched the handle of my steak knife. "Your knife is made of sharp."

Date: 2007-04-24 04:49 am (UTC)I love those sliceable wooden toys. I just recently discovered sliceable wooden Jewish holiday foods online too--I can't decide whether to get Tamsin sliceable wooden challah or a Chanukah set with a wooden afikomen matzoh that you can break into two and reassemble! Hee! They even have wooden matzah balls!
