24 inches of snow in the garden, drifting in places to more than 36. Even the semi-protected walkway between our house and next door has 20 inches of snow in it.
At my church in coastal California, we have a guy who's originally from Detroit. He usually wears shorts to church (he's a chorister and helps the organist in the summer, so he's always got a cassock on during the service).
I know it's getting colder even for non-wimps (like fifth-generation-Californian me) when Paul breaks out the long trousers!
